# Xiu Xiu returns with new LP After experiencing the weirdo-pop pleasure of 'Hi' and its accompanying [video][1]{: target="_blank"}, we were very much excited for [Xiu Xiu][2]{: target="_blank"}'s upcoming album *Always*. After hearing the full album, we can safely say it's going to be one of the best of 2012. It's interesting to see how **Jamie Stewart**'s baby has evolved; *Always* still packs the flourishes of avant-garde weirdness that characterized the group's early work, but now it lends flavor to catchy electronic pop songs. The result is an album that feels closer to their [live set][3]{: target="_blank"} than ever before; still flagrantly unconcerned with mass-media attention but strange enough to attract mutants with an ear for oddities. *Always* is out March 6th via **Polyvinyl**. Get it. **Tracklist:** *01 Hi 02 Joey's Song 03 Beauty Towne 04 Honeysuckle 05 I Luv Abortion 06 The Oldness 07 Chimneys Afire 08 Gul Mudin 09 Born to Suffer 10 Factory Girls 11 Smear the Queen 12 Black Drum Machine* [1]: http://www.electronicbeats.net/music/features/videodrome-37-this-weeks-best-videos [2]: http://www.electronicbeats.net/music/news/xiu-xiu-takes-rihanna-to-a-sick-new-world [3]: http://www.electronicbeats.net/music/features/creepy-teepee-festival-report-raw-is-kutna-hora
