# Videodrome 99 – This week’s best videos
After spending the weekend in Poland---or to be more precise, in Poznań
attending our [Electronic Beats Festival][1]{: target="_blank"}---this
week starts without an weekend, but still contains a brand new edition
of your favorite music video round-up. You know the game---it's time for
V.I.D.E.O.D.R.O.M.E.
**#1 David Guetta -- "Play Hard ft. Akon & Ne-Yo",** directed by
Andreas Nilsson
David just made a video I love for a song which I should hate. Kudos to
Andreas Nilsson ([again][2]{: target="_blank"}).
/
**#2 Beat Club -- "Globetrotters"**, directed by Zach Kranzler
This is just fantastic. Kinda smart video for a kick-ass track, taken
from the "Something Better" maxi-single released last year via
PCM/Boombox Recordings.
/
**#3 Vitalic -- "Fade Away"**, directed by Romain Chassaing
Excellent new video for **Vitalic**'s "Fade Away", which turns out as
some sort of mini-movie. Question: who gets the suitcase?
/
**#4 Crystal Castles -- "Affection"**
I cant help myself, but **Crsytal Castles** almost feel like a retro
band in 2013. Distorted images + Alice Glass lost in fog, all filmed in
your park next door...
/
**#5 Female Smell -- "Look at Me Now"**
Here the new Birmingham-based outfit **Female Smell** surprises with a
bloody, straight-forward punk rock track. Looks like this is their first
track,[ check their band camp][3]{: target="_blank"} for the debut EP.
/
**#6 SpaceGhostPurrp -- "Bringin Da Phonk"**, directed by
SpaceGhostPurrp
Taken off of last year's *Mysterious Phonk: Chronicles of
SpaceGhostPurrp*, here's a pretty authentic, dark, and self-made video
for "Bringin Da Phonk".
/
**#7 Exercise One -- "Vapor"**, directed by by Jacopo Carrears
This is the first beast released from **Exercise One**'s new three-track
EP, out in May through Exone. Excellent techno is all I need.
/
**#8 A$AP Ferg -- "Persian Wine"**, directed by A$AP Ferg & Thuan
Tran
Fellow Rocky set the bar quite high, but these days there's Ferg trying
to set new limits. Hate these guns, btw.
/
**#9 Strip Steve -- "Hood"**
You know that I am a lover of this goofy french techno (remember
[Panetrose two weeks ago?][4]{: target="_blank"})---here Paris-born and
Berlin-based wunderkind **Strip Steve** drops a blast called "Hood".
