# Subculture in black and white
Painting and drawing has experienced something of a renaissance in the
last decade, championed even by the youngest generation of artists. The
exhibition **Subkultura Black and White**, currently on display at the
2. Patro club in Prague's Dlouhá street until end of August, is a
testament to this. Despite utilizing traditional techniques, the works
of artists like **Boris Sirka, Andrej Dúbravský Jan Vytiska**,
Lucia Dovi?áková or **Martin Fischer** are inherently macabre
and haunting, which is only accentuated by the monochromatic versions of
their work.
