**E.m.m.a. -- Lost Encarta Files Mix**
A mix of all originals from the young Keysound-affiliated producer
offering an easily digestible, 20 minute introduction to her
retro-futurist sound of emotive, 8-bit synth-suites and UK dance
riddims.
**Jessy Lanza -- T&D Mix**
Lanza's mix of sultry R&B numbers and modern, outsider dance music
is a good place to start before approaching her soon-to-be-released,
graceful R&B-flavored debut on Hyperdub.

**Le1f -- "Damn Son" (produced by Shy Guy)**
Well, it was inevitable. Mind, I'm just pleased that it was NYC rapper
Le1f that's taken the sample-cum-ident-cum-most overused punchline
since "It's Britney, bitch" and built a dark, swampy track around
it---oh, and his double-time flow is better than ever. From the
forthcoming mixtape *Tree House*, out September 10th.

**Manni Dee -- "Paper Notes"**
Taken from Manni Dee's recent Between *Desires And Deeds* 12-inch on
Black Sun Records, it's a lovely, straight forward techno track. For
those who know.

**Mike G -- LONG Clothing Mixtape**
OooOoo, this is a good one. LONG release quite a few mixtapes of varying
quality, but I always tend to pick through 'em anyway because I know
those boys have pretty solid taste. This latest being by L.A. bad bwoy
Mike G, I know it's going to be quality, and the tracklist (featuring
Rashad, Myrryrs, and a banging Janet Jackson remix) you know you can
trust this one to be an excellent summer dance mix.
**Dickon Hinchliffe -- *Red Riding: In The Year Of Our Lord 1980***
2013 will be forever remember as the year when I used the term "Blackest
Ever Black" so much that now my figures instinctively auto-complete it
anytime I write words that start with B. There's a good reason for that,
of course, a few are which are [here][5]{: target="_blank"} and the
latest of which is [this][6]{: target="_blank"}. *Red Riding: In The
Year Of Our Lord 1980* is the soundtrack to a BBC 4 film trilogy
focusing on the murders committed by Yorkshire Ripper from 1975 through
1980. It's beautiful, dark and perfectly suited for its October release
date.

**Klaus Layer -- "In My Mind"**
Finally! Berlin's most promising beatmaker Klaus Layer is releasing his
debut LP *The Adventures of Captain Crook* on September 3rd
via [Redefenition Records][8]. The imprint is run by one of my favorite
producers of all time, Damu the Fudgemunk, whose newest LP Spur Momento
Trailer will also be coming in early September. Good times!
