# Videodrome 101 – This week’s best videos
After spending last week down in Austria attending the marvelous Spring
Festival opening presented by Electronic Beats, today your dear
Videodrome is back with its 101st edition. Ever since the music video
industry broke down in the early 2000s, when both MTV and VIVA decided
to stop broadcasting cool videos, replacing them with ringtone
commercials, the landscape of music's moving image has been a barren
place. Never mind, the audiovisual joy continues on the internet. That's
where I stumble over these new and cool videos from the likes of Vampire
Weekend, Katy B, Shlohmo and many more.
**#1 Shlohmo -- "Don't Say No" (ft. How To Dress Well)**, directed by
Video Marsh
LA-based producer Shlohmo has unveiled the video for his How To Dress
Well-featuring track "Don't Say No", taken from his recent *Laid Out*
EP. Directed by Video Marsh.

**#2 Co La -- "Make It Slay"**, directed by Andrew Strasser
Here's the amazing 3D video for Co La's new single "Make It Slay", taken
from the wonderfully relaxed *Moody Coup* album---out now via Software
Recording Co.

**#3 Vampire Weekend -- "Diane Young"**, directed by Primo Kahn
Check out the new music video for Vampire Weekend's song "Diane Young".
I kinda love it. Also, extra points for its guest list: Sky Ferreira,
Santigold, Chromeo, Dave Longstreth (Dirty Projectors) and Hamilton
Leithauser (The Walkmen).

**#4 Fat Freddy's Drop -- "Clean The House"**, directed by Mark Williams
In this new clip for FFD you can see some puppet dance. It actually fits
to the classy, laid back sound which the New Zealanders are offering us
with this first teaser from their upcoming full-length release in June.

**#5 HVOB -- "Always like this" (andhim Remix)**, directed by
lichterloh.tv
A few weeks ago, we offered you the exclusive pre-stream of HVOB's
self-titled debut album. Now one of their standout tracks has received a
nice remix and an audiovisual treatment. If you're into animation this
shouldn't be missed.

**#6 Disclosure -- "When A Fire Starts To Burn"**, directed by Bo
Mirosseni
Momentum alarm! If you are not aware of Disclosure's upcoming album,
'Settle', you obviously live under a rock. Your final chance is embedded
above: it's the Bo Mirosseni-directed video for their infectious "When A
Fire Starts To Burn" track.

**#7 Jacques Greene -- "On Your Side" feat. How To Dress
Well**, directed by Trusst
Jacques Greene has teamed up with Tom Krell aka How To Dress Well's to
release "On Your Side". It's another house track in the vein of his
recent collaboration with R&B siren Tinashe on "Painted Faces" for
Yours Truly's "Songs From Scratch" series.

**#8 Mazes -- "Bodies"**, directed by Austin of Vision Fortune
Mazes just dropped "Bodies", the first track from their forthcoming
album Ores & Minerals which is available to download for
free from their [Soundcloud page][1]{: target="_blank"}. Worth drawing
attention to just how difficult it is to keep a body still.

**#9 Dylan Ettinger -- "The Pale Mare"**, directed by Logan Owlbeemoth
Oh, yes. Looks like Mr. Ettinger is saying goodbye to the post-weirdo
stuff he was dealing with in the last few years. Mind you, his video art
hasn't changed that much... Here at least some bass is striking back

**#10 Katy B -- "What Love is Made of"**, directed by Emil Nava
It's been quite a while since we've heard from Katy B. Now there's a new
track called "What Love is Made of" which serves as the official first
single from the still untitled second studio album. Due later this year
via Rinse/Columbia Records Records.
