# We Made MyIdol Versions of DJs Last week we started to notice that everyone we followed on Instagram had posted uncanny avatars that resembled the users' own likenesses. Then we started to notice the spate of trend stories announcing that the Chinese app MyIdol, which was responsible for the virtual versions of our friends, had gone viral (duh).
