# Kuedo prepares Severant **Kuedo** is the alter ego of pioneering bass producer **Jamie Vex'd**, and soon he is going to be releasing his first full length under the moniker called 'Severant'. Produced with a striped down set up that favours spontaneity over studio noodling, Severant has a lighter, less abrasive sound than Jamie's previous wok as one half of Vex'd, drawing influences such as **Tangerine Dream** in to a sticky soup of juke and coke rap as Jamie explains; "I wanted to capture a really futurist sentiment, kind of melancholy and grand luminescent, so I used the instrument that most evokes that for me -- that sweeping Vangelis brass sound."
