# Escandalo’s ‘Nocturning’
**Escandalo** first came to our attention when NYC art magazine **K48**
released their brilliant okkvlt-themed compilation [ABRAK48DABRA][1].
The Brooklyn duo of Viva Ruiz and Desi Monster had contributed
'Nocturning', a slice of latin freestyle gothica evil enough to make
disco queens cry tears of blood. The pulsing, dark beauty of it drew our
attention straight away, and since then we've been craving more. We got
it recently, at least visually, when Escandalo released the music video
for 'Nocturning'. Watch it below, along with the equally bewitching
video for their track 'La Bruja'.
