# A festival to clear your head In the German capital the tourism debate has flared up once and for all: after Easyjetset, Kreuzberger Resident Nights, graphic design efforts, instrumentalization and recent attempts at objectivity the fourth edition of the inner city festival *Reisen macht den Kopf frei* will be starting in a few days in Berlin -- the organisers of the electronic dance event allowed themselves an ironic overtone in reference to the tourist subject. Although the influx of party-mad tourists from Berlin's club culture has often been criticized, the event's organisers, on the grounds of the former Rummelsburg power station, are not just planning a mere open air rave but also an ironic embrace of tourism as well as possible exit scenarios for fed-up city dwellers: there will be a 'Techno Motel' as well as a 'SPA Area', a 'Travel Post Office' and a 'Rave Museum'. But don't get us wrong: despite this lovingly designed setting, the heart of Reisen macht den Kopf frei is likely to be just like in previous years: the music. Even in its fourth year the booking of the three-day open air festival stands for the integration of near and far, Berlin and the world, small and large: **Marshall Jefferson, Gabriel Ananda & Marcel Janovsky, Lawrence, Jennifer Cardini, Monkey Maffia, Alexander Kowalski, T.Raumschmiere, Douglas Greed, Sven Dohse, Till von Sein, Adam Port, Empro, Süss & Sauer, grizzly, High.Co.Coon, Alle Farben, Johannes Vogel** -- to name just a few. And the prices of the day or festival ticket packages for all three locations (Kraftwerk Rummelsburg, Sysiphos, Golden Gate) are also extremely fair. You'll pay 10 or 12€ on the door at most clubs in Berlin (and 25€ for the festival ticket during a weekend in the capital). And the clincher for those still undecided: we are raffling off 3 pairs of day tickets (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) so to be have a chance at winning send us an e-mail with "EB macht den Kopf frei" in the subject line to [win@electronicbeats.de](mailto:win@electronicbeats.de). The competition closes on Thursday, 2 June at 11am; the winners will be informed by e-mail. And to get you warmed up we'd also like to recommend [the newest Electronic Beats radio session][1] by Monkey Maffia.
