# EB Listening: Stream Reeko with Architectural’s new LP The Blue Album
[Reeko][1]{: target="_blank"} and Architectural are two projects
belonging to one man, the Spanish-born techno producer Juan Rico. In
bringing these two sides together for *The Blue Album*, Rico has created
an ambitious record exploring the breadth of his sound hinted at in his
releases for Theory, Integrale Muzique, Deafmosaic, and his own imprint
[Mental Disorder][2]{: target="_blank"}. Unlike some producers drawn to
the cavernous, industrial excesses of warehouse techno, Rico---with his
gift for composition---resists one-note fatalism and affected bleakness,
instead opting for something far more multilayered. The fittingly titled
"Dualities", for example, marries the chill detachment of dub techno
with a sweeping melody line, while elsewhere there's compelling
experiments with ambient textures, found sound, and white noise. Suffice
to say we're really feeling it, and are proud to be hosting the
exclusive pre-release stream of *The Blue Room* in its entirety, below.
