Videodrome 146 – This month’s best videos
# Videodrome 146 – This month’s best videos **Every month Moritz Gayard sifts through the deluge of new music videos so you don't have to.** Hey kids! The time has come for the summer edition of your favorite music video digest. Music videos have always been an excellent source of inspiration, so feed your mind with essential new videos from the likes of Koudlam, clipping, Lil B and many more. Full disclosure: this list does *not* contain [Lana][1] nor [Gaga][2]. **#1 Lunice -- "Can't Wait To"**, directed by Peter Marsden Oh, so it's a Lexus ad? Whatever, still a jam. **#2 Koudlam -- "Negative Creep"**, directed by Jamie Harley Fucking great video in the vein of Gaspar Noe's *Enter The Void* and *Irréversible* or Jonathan Glazer's Under The Skin. This is king. **#3** **clipping. -- "Story 2"**, directed by Cristina Bercovitz So dope! Great video concept done by Cristina Bercovitz who continues to direct standout videos for the L.A. group. **#4 Iceage -- "The Lord's Favorite**", directed by Cali Thornhill DeWitt I didn't think I was going to like this but . . . *damn*. Iceage has returned with one of the most surprising releases of the year. **#5 Future -- "Coupe"** The boy Future dropped a visual piece of work for his *Adult Swim* single "Coupe", check it out. **#6 Mystery Skulls -- "Paralyzed"**, directed by Bo Mirosseni Seriously though, have you guys seen this video already? If not, check [Mystery Skulls][3]{: target="_blank"} revisiting the occult in their "Paralyzed" video. **#7 Lil Silva -- "Mabel"**, directed by Laura Coulson Some sort of beautiful. Recently the twenty-four-year-old TJ Carter, better known as Lil Silva, announced the release of his new EP *Mabel*. We can't wait for it to drop in August. **#8 Roman Flügel -- "Parade"** Nicely edited footage which fits perfectly to Roman's academic electro sound. His new album Fatty Folders will be out via Hamburg imprint [Dial][4]{: target="_blank"} in September. **#9 Janelle Monáe -- "Electric Lady", directed by Fleur & Manu** T.I., Estelle, Monica, Esperanza Spalding, T-Boz, and more put in cameo appearances in Janelle Monáe's clip for for *The Electric Lady*'s title cut. **#10 Chelsea Wolfe -- "The Waves Have Come",  **directed by Mark Pellington This video is part of the hour long film called "Lone" which was directed by Mark Pellington and released in February. It works incredibly well as a standalone piece, however. **#11 Show Me The Body -- "Steep Rock"** Ok, here are some guitar tunes from my most beloved sludge punker: Show Me The Body out of N.Y.C.. **#12 Lil B -- "No Black Person Is Ugly"** Creativity will win out over violence. Lil B is so amazing, his spirit makes me move. ~ [1]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMq2KnudicQ [2]: http://www.vevo.com/watch/tony-bennett-lady-gaga/anything-goes-studio-video/USUV71401412 [3]: http://mysteryskulls.bandcamp.com [4]: http://www.electronicbeats.net/tag/dial/
