# Charli XCX is the one for us
If any rising artist captures the essence of the dissolution between
mainstream and underground, it's **Charli XCX**. The London-based
musician, still in her teens, has already captured the imagination of
the internet with her goth-tinged pop, as lovely as it is melancholy,
and with the release of her new EP *You're The One*, it's just a matter
of time before she breaks big.
Along with the EP's title track, Charli also unveiled a brand new
mixtape to accompany the release. *Heartbreaks and Earthquakes* is
packed with recut tracks and samples from the likes of, among others,
**Drake** and **Blood Orange**, a remix of 'You're The One' by **Odd
Future** member **The Internet**, and samples from essential teen films
like *The Craft* and *Cruel Intentions*. It's the perfect summergoth
soundtrack to get your black-clad booty bumpin'. *You're The One* is out
