# Shigeto’s ‘Soaring’ blasts off
**[Ghostly International][1]{: target="_blank"}** always wows us with
their beautiful releases; **Shigeto** is definitely one of our favorites
of the label, having first snared our ears with his 2010 debut *Full
Circle*. A complex blend of field recordings and thick synths, it's
easily one of the more intriguing IDM albums we've heard in a long time.
His latest release is the 12″ mini-LP *Lineage*, which focuses closely
on the producer's relationship with his family connections. This
spaced-out vintage video, created from footage taken from space
shuttles, captures the atmospheric mood of the fourth track 'Soaring'
