Videodrome 150—December 2014’s Best Videos
# Videodrome 150—December 2014’s Best Videos The last Videodrome of the year has landed, with a fresh dose of clips that will rock your world. **#1 Panda Bear -- "Boys Latin" **\[Directed by Isaiah Saxon & Sean Hellfritsch at Encyclopedia Pictura\] Here's the new video from Panda Bear for his mesmerizing new single, "Boys Latin," which is taken from his phenomenal forthcoming album, *Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper*, out via Domino on January 13. **#2 clipping. -- "Get Up"** \[Directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada and Cristina Bercovitz\] The LA"noise-rap" trio known as clipping. is back with a simple but striking video for their unique instrumental smasher "Get Up." **#3 Objekt -- "Second Witness"** \[Directed by Rachel Buehlmann, Joe Dilworth & TJ Hertz\] This clip feels like a fresh take on the whole "3D Environments x Nostalgia" thing, except that it's all actually shot on film and not rendered digitally. Weiter so. **#4 LEVELZ -- "LVL 07"** \[Directed by Richard Reason\] Now you know why I go on about Manchester so much. Levelz set the bar with this one. **#5 Von Spar -- "Chain Of Command"** \[Directed by Christopher Marquez\] Nice and easy video for Cologne-based elecro-pop quartet Von Spar's "Chain Of Command" from their new album, *Streetlife*. **#6 Shams -- "Nest"** Dark house fun brought to you by Brooklyn producer Shams, out now via HOSS Records. **#7 Tink -- "Round The Clock"** \[Directed by DGainz\] Finally, a new female emcee who is worth quoting. **#8 Mr. Oizo -- "Ham"** \[Directed by Eric Wareheim\] [HAM][1] from [Eric Wareheim][2] on [Vimeo][3]. Wareheim's bizarre and grotesque take on American consumerism arrived shortly after Black Friday. Relevant. **#9 Nicki Minaj ft. Drake, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown** -- "Only" I'm not a super for Chris Brown, but I do like Nicki's bondage-themed music video for "Only." However, the Nazi-inspired lyric video generated more controversy than it did props. Oh, Nicki, why didn't you see that coming? \#10 Death Grips -- "Inanimate Sensation" \[Self-directed\] After calling it quits, Death Grips is back with a new video and a forthcoming tour.
