Videodrome 133 – This week’s best videos
# Videodrome 133 – This week’s best videos **Each week, Moritz Gayard rounds up the best music videos so you don't have to.** This week I wanna invite you to two music video-laden events, where you can see me talking about this marvelous genre (it's CDR time next Thursday, [Feb 13th at Prince Charles][1]{: target="_blank"}) and selecting the best videos during the Noisekölln Music Video Aweards, as part of the Berlinale Boddinale (this is tomorrow, [Feb 6th at Loophole][2]{: target="_blank"}). If you are not here in Berlin, all you can do is explore the ten videos below and wait for next week, where a potential new Videodrome will be released. **#1 Mike Q & Sinjin Hawke -- "ThunderScan"** Class of its own. **#2 Son Lux -- "Alternate World"**, directed by Truman & Cooper Great on so many levels. Nice tempo changes, check the three minute mark. This video is a nice chill pill. Track is off of SL's *At War with Walls and Mazes* album. **#3 Ball Game -- "JAP"**, directed by Jake Winans Some weeks ago I already told you about my love for Brooklyn producer DJ Lucas. Above you can see his latest drop. And if you're not just into bass games abut also car crashes, you'll love this. Mirror effects at the end are kinda meh, though. **#4 FKA Twigs -- "Hide"** Very nice video for the most hyped artist from last year. Looks like they got some money to travel to Mayan villages to perform. **#5 Jerome LOL -- "Deleted ft. Sara Z"** Up for an Internet-centric music video? Then try Jerome LOL's video for "Deleted feat. Sara Z" from his EP *Deleted/Fool*, out now on Friends of Friends. **#6 Timber Timbre -- "Hot Dreams"**, directed by Scott Cudmore & Michael Leblanc *Hot Dreams*, Timber Timbre's third studio album for Arts & Crafts, is out on April 1, 2014. Now the first appetizer has appeared online, which is some sort of red light affair, with intercut performance snippets. **#7 patten -- "Agen"**, directed by Jane Eastlight Digging the new Patten album a lot. Pretty hectic video here, just inches away from GIF animations. Nothing else matters. **#8 St. Vincent -- "Digital Witness"** Trippy and colorful video for the new St. Vincent track. It looks like Annie Clark continues her transformation into David Byrne. **#9 Shakira ft. Rihanna -- "Can't Remember to Forget You"** Look who's visiting the drome. It's Shakira, stupid. With a little help of Rihanna. This clip above was on the top three list Most Viewed Video on VEVO within 24 hours. **#10 Caetano Veloso & João Gilberto -- "Besame mucho"** This is a tribute to all the lovely people of Rio de Janeiro I had the pleasure to meet over the last fourteen days.
