Covering Tracks: Locked Groove
# Covering Tracks: Locked Groove **[Covering Tracks][1]{: target="_blank"} is a regular series in which we ask our favorite producers and DJs to recommend ten new (and not so new) releases. Locked Groove, a Hotflush regular who joined the ranks of Permanent Vacation last month, composed our latest addition to the column.** **liit --- "islando" \[LACKREC\]** This is one of the tracks that's been a staple in my sets lately. Amazing simplicity & beautifully produced. **Concierge --- "Grounded" \[Zaun\]** This records has everything that I love: weird synth work, raw percussion. It's probably my favorite record of the past couple months. **Carl Craig --- "No More Words (New Age Tribal Mix)" \[Retroactive\]** When I moved to Berlin a couple of months ago and picked up all my records that were still at my parents' place, I came across so much music that I forgot I owned. This  track is amazing. I remember that when I first heard it, I  fell in love with it straight away. I didn't fall in love with the Discogs price tag, though.. Alex Banks --- "A Matter Of Time feat. Elizabeth Bernholz (Frank Wiedemann remix)" \[Monkeytown\] Classy dark vocal stuff remixed by Ame's Frank wiedemann. **The Rhythm Odyssey and Knights of Olde --- "Intro Theme (South London Ordnance Remix)" \[FILM\]** My buddy SLO aiming for the late-hour slots with this one. A real trip into deep space. **Woo York -- "Trip from Baikonur" \[Planet Rhythm\]** I'v been following Woo York for a while now, and they're quickly becoming one of favorites. Peak-time techno for bigger rooms. **Magic Mountain High --- "Workshop XX A1" \[Workshop\]** Workshop and Magic Mountain High is a combination that can't fail for me. It's not for the faint of heart, but a must for anyone into deep music. **Leon Vynehall --- "Inside the Deku Tree" \[3024\]** This entire EP was amazing. Leon Vynehall was able to bring across this really warm vibe amazes me every time I listen to it. **Nils Frahm --- "Peter (The Drifter Edit)" \[Unreleased\]** A great edit of an already great track by one of my favorite Irish people. **Mind Against --- "Avalon" \[Life And Death\]** I've been playing this track for a while now, and I never get sick of it. The way it sounds on a good club system is the stuff of legends. [1]: http://www.electronicbeats.net/category/features/columns/covering-tracks/
