# Teen Witch Magazine
Ever wish there was a magazine just for you? Fed up with the
Bieberbating of been-there/done-that newstand rags? **TEEN WITCH** is
here to help your desires ascend into the realm of Realness. The first
underground magazine for queer teens, TEEN WITCH focuses on things
beyond the realm of the traditional, engorging your life views with
reconceptualizations of what it is to be In Puberty. Like the hypercolor
internet child of magazines like **Nickelodeon** and **BOP**, TW focuses
on exposing readers to the gay and trans side of youth idols, with
interviews like NYC's \"Black Sailor Moon\" **Mykki Blanco** and pinups
devoted to hip-house producer **Kingdom**. By taking the medium of print
teen media (fast becoming extinct) and transforming it via virtual
phenomenons, Teen Witch visionary *Zain Curtis* means to treat these
ideas and concepts as idols, stars to be hung in lockers, names to be
scrawled on notebooks. Exclusive photos and in-depth discussions mean
that this is thicker and meatier than the gloss-pop zines as well; just
how we like it.
The first issue is being funded with Kickstarter, and there's some
delicious gifts to go along with your donation, including limited
hand-painted and tie-dyed Betty Boop tees and anime yin-yang backpatches
that will blow minds. Can't wait to talk about it with my friends at
lunch tomorrow; just hope teach doesn't catch me reading it in math
(eww) or I'll be in HUGE trouble.
