# AIDS Wolf releasing fourth album One of our favorite bands in the wide-ranging blanket term of 'noise rock', **AIDS Wolf** have always represented what we feel is the 'true' soul of punk, if the ancient genre can still be said to have such a thing: artistic energy melded with the raw rage of dissatisfaction, a wall of evil vibes that punches your ears and allows you to transcend the world.... at least until the sweat dries. Now the Montreal three-piece have announced their fourth album, set to be released as a double LP. *Ma vie banale avant-garde* is not entirely new direction for AW; **Chloe Lum** is still unleashing death wails, and the guitars are just just as atonal as ever. There's a few moments of pop structures sprinkled throughout, however, that make *Ma vie* somewhat unique amongst their discography, and the length itself makes it a neck-breaking journey you'll never forget. With 24 tracks to peruse, we can pretty much guarantee that before it's over, your ghost is gonna come out your mouth. But we hear the afterlife is nice this time of year anyway. *Ma vie banale avant-garde* is out October 4th on **Lovepump United**.
