# New Year, New Build With **LCD Soundsystem**'s main man **James Murphy** in "retirement" (my dad hasn't been able to sit still either) and **Hot Chip** on a break since 2010's slick *One Life Stand*, it was only a matter of time before members on either side of the party started to get antsy. **New Build** are a new project from London featuring Hot Chip members Al Doyle and Felix Martin, with Al having played guitar in the aforementioned Soundsystem. Currently touring with a seven-piece live band, which we've been told includes backing vocalists (no really, they're going all in on this one), the group have previewed some great new material on their SoundCloud page ahead of their debut album, due to be released March 5th on their own **Lanark Recordings** imprint. Listen up:
